Frequently Asked Questions1. Who can apply? Everyone! Some companies immediately disregard applications from certain
people. However instrumentrental.com.au welcome applications from everyone, including
university students, part-time workers, community organisations and senior
citizens (10% discount for Seniors Card holders). However you do need
to be over eighteen years of age to place an application. If you are
under eighteen, please ask a parent or guardian to apply on your behalf.
2. How can I apply? You can apply online via our secure portal or if you prefer, you can
fill in an application form at any of our authorised music stores and
they will fax it to us.
3. How long does it take for approval? Approvals for New Instrument Rental may take one business day for
a brief credit, employment, landlord and referee check.
4. Do we have to rent for a certain length of time? Yes. New Instrument Rental has a six (6) month minimum period. If
you return the instrument before this time you will need to pay the balance
of rental changes for the full six months.
5. What brands can we rent? instrumentrental.com.au brass & woodwind and classical stringed instruments are
suited to the beginner musician. Conover Cable acoustic pianos are suitable
for the beginner to intermediate musician.

All the instruments in New Instrument Rental are brand new.
7. What is the instrumentrental.com.au Satisfaction Guarantee? We totally guarantee your satisfaction. If you are not happy with
your instrument, notify us within 14 days and we will replace your instrument
immediately, or provide a full refund.
8. Do you require a bond? No. However instrumentrental.com.au may request a bond in certain circumstances.
9. Can I rent more than one instrument? Certainly. You can put as many instruments as you like on one application
form.
10. What does the 'First Payment' amount on the price list include? The first payment includes the first month's rental, delivery, handling
and contract set-up.
11. What is covered (and not covered) by insurance? Insurance covers fire, theft from forcible entry, damage in a car
collision and malicious damage. However it does not cover accidental
loss or damage. Therefore if you lose the instrument, drop it, or accidentally
leave it sitting in the sun etc it will not be covered and you will need
to cover the cost of repair or replacement. So please take care.
12. How are the payments debited? The rental payments are debited on a set date each month from either
your nominated bank account or a credit card. We accept Mastercard, Bankcard
or Visa. If the date falls on a weekend or public holiday, the payments
will be debited on the next business day.
13. Can I change the payment date? It is possible to change the date to fit in with your salary and other
commitments. Please call the Contract Administration department on 1300
855 122 to discuss. Please note that rental payments are made in advance,
so if you would like the date moved more than a week forward, you may
be required to cover that rental period difference before the date can
be changed.
14. Will the rental instrument come ready to play? All instruments are ready to play immediately. You will receive the
standard accessories that come with the instrument from the manufacturer.
Any additional accessories will need to be purchased from your local
music store during the course of your rental contract.
15. My violin bow has broken. What should I do? If there are any problems with your instrument on arrival, instrumentrental.com.au
will organise repair or replacement. However any consumable broken or
used during the course of your contract is not covered eg rosin, cork
grease, bows, strings etc. You will need to purchase replacements from
your local music store.
16. Do all my rental payments go towards paying off the instrument? Signing a New Instrument Rental agreement is not a definite agreement
to purchase because you have the flexibility to return your instrument
any time after the minimum period. However if you would like to purchase
your rental instrument, we do offer 75% of rental payments made in the
first 12 months off the purchase price. You can choose to purchase your
instrument in one payment, or select the 1 or 2 years Interest Free Purchase
Plan option and pay the balance off monthly. Please contact us when you
are ready to purchase.
17. How do I return the instrument? Simply take the instrument back into the store from whom you rented
originally. They will complete an 'Equipment Return Form' with your details
and fax it to us. Once we receive the fax we will know to stop debiting
rental payments and close your contract.
For acoustic pianos, please phone your dealer to arrange collection. You may wish to discuss return freight with them at the start of your contract. It is worth checking the date that your payments are normally debited and ensure that you return your instrument 2-3 days or more before that date. Our computer systems automatically debit payments, so we need to receive the 'Equipment Return Fax' early to be able to halt payments. 18. We have moved house. How do we return the instrument? You can return your instrument to any music store in the instrumentrental.com.au
network. Visit the Dealer Locator on this website for your closest store.
If you do not live near a store, please call us on 1300 889 560 and we
will make other arrangements.

20. What about repairs and servicing? instrumentrental.com.au will provide you with a brand new instrument. General wear & tear
issues are not covered by instrumentrental.com.au.
We recommened that instruments undergo a service by a qualified technician at least once a year. instrumentrental.com.au require the instrument returned in good working order.
